Enrollment (updated)

In order to enter Skinner’s Classical program, you must complete a CPS application, and your child must successfully test into the Classical program. . You can download the CPS application and its instructions from the Chicago Magnet Programs website listed in the paragraph below.

Applications for the 2008-09 school year will be available in September. The application period begins on September/2008 and ends on December/2008. Completed applications must be submitted to the Office of Academic Enhancement, 125 S. Clark, 4th floor, Chicago, Illinois 60603.

Preschool

Skinner's preschool is open for 3 and 4 year olds. Tuition for the 2008/2009 school year is $185/week.
You can call the school office (773.534.7790) or drop in to have your child added to the waiting list for preschool. Children must be 5 years old by Sept 1st of that school year in order to apply for kindergarten.

Open House

Grades K through 5 on November 2, 2007 - 1p until 2:30p.
Grades 6 through 8 on November 15, 2007 - 5p until 6p.

DROP OFF/PICK UP PROCEDURES

Turn into the school’s parking lot.
Continue driving to the second driveway entrance.
Turn left into circular driveway and drop your child at the lunchroom entrance.
Skinner staff will be on hand to greet students.

PICK-UP: During good weather students will wait outside in benched area next to the lunchroom for pick-up.
PLEASE PICK YOUR CHILD UP ON TIME!
LATE PICK-UPS: If a child is not picked up by 3:15, the student will be brought inside into the gym area to wait for parents.
We will NOT have staff available after 3:30pm to supervise children.
